Il Molinetto della Croda
The building is a distinctive example of rural architecture of the XVII century and was built in different steps. The foundations of the original building stand on the bare rock, called the “croda” of the mountain, on which descends a small waterfall that makes the mill wheel work.
The mill ground the last flour in 1953. Then it was uninhabited for a few years. Recently it has been finely restored. The ground floor has been faithfully rebuilt and nowadays the mill can work perfectly.
Purchased by the Municipality of Refrontolo in 1991, this local cultural heritage is now widely used by the community and is a destination for guided tours. Here you can see how the corn was ground and you can also take some relaxing walk in the area.
