The Cansiglio Ring

The Cansiglio is a plateau belonging to the Carnic Prealps, in between the provinces of Belluno, Treviso and Pordenone. From the characteristic shape of a basin, is constituted in its central part by three depressions: Pian Cansiglio, Valmenera e Cornesega, where it reaches the lowest altitude (898 m).

The enchanting forest of Cansiglio is characterized by very high beeches that change their colors depending on the season. Further down there are whole forests of spruce, partly of artificial origin. The Cansiglio is also a refuge for many animal species, as hunting has long been banned.
